I have a short pair of these Bearpaw slippers that I love, so wanted to get the taller ones for winter. We live in the mountains and my ankles would get cold in the winter, even with sox, with the gap between my slippers and pant bottoms, so I got these and they are exactly what I was hoping for! I got them to be just indoor boot/slippers; I have my exterior boots with serious tread for outside. You could easily wear them outdoors, but I wouldn't recommend it on snow and ice, as they do not have much tread to speak of so you might slip. The Bearpaw boots/slippers really are true to size. When you first get them they feel a bit snug, but the fluffy inside sheep lining does compress, forming perfectly to your feet. Seems they are well made well; I will do a follow-up to this review should they not hold up, as some have posted.
