I own a pair of bearpaw "Kathy" boots. They are warm and comfortable, so I thought the brand was good in general. I wanted a pair of boots that would go with everything (as opposed to my supercute aztec kathy's!), so I went with black Lauren Tall's - based on good reviews.

My first impression of these boots are UBER CHEAP. Externally, they *look* okay, but as soon as I slipped my foot in the flat, uncomfortable footbed was a surprise. Let me say, I LOVE flat shoes, I have chronic pain in my foot, and flat shoes for me are the way to go. But these boots lacked the plush, cloud like padding of the Kathy boots, and it was hard and stiff. Like cheapo boots you'd buy at a grocery store...

I don't believe it is real wool lining. When I took the boots off the black "wool" had shed all over my pants. Never had that problem with my other bearpaws. I sadly returned these. I do NOT recommend.

I love these boots, they are somewhat large as my shoe size is actually 6.-7 and I dont know why I asked for a size 7.5. Despite the fact that they are big, they are very comfortable and wearable. Very happy with the price and the feel.
